In front of you is a selection of my work in the visual field since 2006…
I work mostly as a painter, illustrator and graphic designer.

Painting and drawing enable me to create beings and worlds out of my own free will in order to show the hidden face of things and – most of all – people. I am interested in the human being and his attitude towards himself, other human beings and Nature. People and ideas become zoomorphic creatures, their content protruding through their appearance. The essence of my work can be enclosed in the term visual psychosomatics. Concepts, forces, thoughts, emotions… all coexists in contrasts, and they, with their harmoniously conflicting nature, have a definite place in my creations. Especially dear to me are the contrasts between black and white in drawing (light:darkness) and the red and azure in painting (warm:cold). I pay special attention to details. Creating tiny repetitive elements to me is a unique form of meditation. With them I usually try to illustrate the fragmentation of matter, as well as the presence and motion of different forms of energy manipulating it.

I mostly design press material, occasionally also web images. In contrast to the prevailing tendencies of contemporary advertising for flashy design I prefer promotional material that achieves its purpose with the use of harmonious (in terms of colour and content) and aesthetic images. The content of the project I am working on is of definite importance to me. I am particularly interested in graphic design intended for the advertisement of authors and events in the cultural and art field. I have been collaborating with several important Slovenian cultural institutions (for example Kino Šiška, Radio Študent, AKC Metelkova, Cankarjev dom, Slovensko mladinsko gledališče), all the while working also on projects for different smaller clients. And since I strive toward mutual satisfaction with the finished product, I am pleased that many of the aforementioned collaborations are of longer standing, although I also love to accept new challenges.
